Starting from Chengdu, travel into the mountains toward Siguniang Mountain, passing Balang Mountain and Maobingliang Viewpoint before exploring Shuangqiaogou, where snow peaks, alpine meadows, forests and streams create spectacular mountain scenery.

After breakfast, leave Chengdu and gradually climb from the plains toward the mountains of Western Sichuan. As the altitude rises, the scenery changes into valleys, forests and snow-covered peaks. At Maobingliang Viewpoint, enjoy views toward the Siguniang Mountain range when weather conditions are favorable. Continue to Shuangqiaogou, one of the most accessible scenic areas around Siguniang Mountain. The sightseeing shuttle takes visitors deeper into the valley, where snow peaks, forests, alpine meadows, streams and mountain lakes appear along the route. The area is well suited to travelers who prefer scenic walks and photography rather than strenuous hiking. After the visit, continue to Dujiangyan for the night.
After breakfast, visit Taoping Qiang Village, an ancient settlement where traditional stone buildings and village layouts reflect the distinctive culture of the Qiang people. Walking through the lanes offers an opportunity to observe how local architecture developed in response to the mountainous environment. Continue to Bipenggou in the afternoon, entering a landscape of alpine forests, meadows, lakes and snow-covered peaks. During summer, colorful alpine flowers add another layer to the scenery. After exploring the area, continue to Heishui for the night.
After breakfast, travel to Dagu Glacier and enter the mountain area by scenic shuttle before taking the high-altitude cable car upward. As the elevation increases, forests gradually give way to open alpine landscapes, revealing snow peaks, glaciers and mountain lakes. At the upper viewing area, experience the impressive scale of Western Sichuan's highland scenery. After completing the visit, continue on a longer drive toward Jiuzhaigou, check into your hotel and rest before the full-day sightseeing program the following day.
After breakfast, enter Jiuzhaigou National Park and use the scenic shuttle to explore its main attractions. Five Flower Lake is one of the park's most recognizable colorful lakes, with clear water displaying different shades of blue and green under changing light. Continue to Long Lake, surrounded by forests and mountain peaks, before visiting the impressive Nuorilang Waterfall, one of Jiuzhaigou's best-known cascades. In the afternoon, explore Shuzheng Valley, where lakes, streams and forests create a peaceful natural environment. The full day allows plenty of time for photography, walking and enjoying the scenery without rushing between attractions.
After breakfast, leave Jiuzhaigou and stop at Chuanzhusi Town, an important transport hub in northwestern Sichuan where Tibetan cultural influences remain visible. Take a relaxed walk around town, browse local shops and try regional snacks or barbecue. Continue toward Chengdu in the afternoon. As the altitude gradually decreases, the highland landscape gives way to the greener and flatter Chengdu Plain. After arriving in Chengdu, check into your hotel and prepare for three days of independent city exploration.
Today is completely flexible, allowing you to experience Chengdu according to your own interests. Animal lovers can visit the Panda Base, while those interested in history and culture can explore Wuhou Shrine and Jinli Ancient Street. For shopping and modern city life, Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li are popular choices. Alternatively, simply sit in a traditional teahouse, enjoy a cup of tea and observe everyday Chengdu life. After several days in the mountains, this is the perfect opportunity to slow down.
The second free day offers another opportunity to personalize your Chengdu experience. For a deeper cultural excursion, choose an optional visit to the Leshan Giant Buddha, where you can admire the enormous riverside stone statue from a boat or explore the scenic area on foot. If you prefer to stay in Chengdu, continue discovering local neighborhoods, traditional teahouses, food and evening city life. A special Sichuan dining experience can also be arranged to make local cuisine one of the highlights of your journey.
You can spend your final full day of independent exploration in Chengdu at your own pace. During the day, experience the city's modern urban vibe and shop for souvenirs at Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li, or immerse yourself further in Chengdu's trendy culture at East Chengdu Memory and Wangping Street—transitioning from the magnificent highland scenery back to the city's relaxed, everyday rhythm. In the evening, treat yourself to local specialties like hotpot, *chuanchuan* (skewers), or *dandan* noodles, bringing your Sichuan journey to a delicious and relaxing close.
