This 6-day, 5-night Beijing itinerary is designed for international visitors experiencing Beijing for the first time.

Day 1 Arrival in Beijing → Old Beijing Hutong Walk

Upon arrival at Beijing Capital International Airport, your private vehicle will take you to the hotel for check-in.

After some time to rest, begin your first Beijing experience at Nanluoguxiang, one of the city's best-known historic hutong neighborhoods. Traditional courtyard homes, independent shops, cafés, and local snacks line the narrow streets, offering a glimpse into everyday Beijing life.

Continue to Yandai Byway, a charming historic street where you can stroll through traditional architatmosphere of old Beijing

Day 2 Imperial Beijing in One Day | Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, Shichahai & Temple of Heaven

After breakfast, visit Tiananmen Square, one of Beijing's most iconic landmarks and an important site for understanding China's modern history.

Continue to the Forbidden City, entering through the Meridian Gate into one of the world's most impressive imperial palace complexes. Home to China's emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties, the Forbidden City is filled with magnificent halls, courtyards, historic architecture, and priceless cultural treasures. Follow the central axis to see landmarks such as the Hall of Supreme Harmony, Hall of Central Harmony, and Hall of Preserving Harmony.

After lunch, enjoy a more relaxed afternoon at Shichahai. Its lakes, traditional hutongs, and historic courtyard homes offer a different side of Beijing and provide a pleasant setting for a leisurely walk.

Continue to the Temple of Heaven, where you can admire the iconic Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests and learn about the ancient Echo Wall. The complex was once where emperors performed ceremonies to pray for good harvests and reflects the ancient Chinese understanding of heaven, earth, and harmony.

Return to the hotel after dinner.

Day 3 Great Wall Adventure → China Science and Technology Museum → Bird’s Nest & Water Cube

After breakfast, travel by private vehicle to the Badaling Great Wall.

One of the most famous and best-preserved sections of the Great Wall, Badaling winds dramatically across the surrounding mountains. Climb the ancient stone walls and enjoy panoramic views of the rugged landscape and endless stretches of the Great Wall — an unforgettable Beijing experience.

After lunch, return to the city and visit the China Science and Technology Museum. Interactive exhibits and hands-on experiences make science and technology accessible and entertaining, making this a particularly enjoyable stop for families and younger travelers.

In the late afternoon, head to the Beijing Olympic Park to see the exterior of the Bird's Nest National Stadium and the Water Cube National Aquatics Center. Around sunset, the changing light and evening illumination create an especially photogenic atmosphere.

Day 4 Summer Palace → Old Summer Palace → Beijing Food Experience

After breakfast, visit the magnificent Summer Palace, one of China's finest surviving imperial gardens.

Stroll along the famous Long Corridor, admire its beautifully painted details, and enjoy views of Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill. The garden combines natural landscapes with elegant imperial architecture, showcasing the distinctive aesthetics of traditional Chinese garden design.

In the afternoon, visit the Old Summer Palace (Yuanmingyuan). Once one of the most magnificent imperial garden complexes in China, it was heavily damaged during a turbulent period of history. Today, its ruins, lakes, and remaining structures provide a powerful insight into Beijing's past.

In the evening, enjoy traditional Beijing flavors such as Beijing-style noodles with soybean paste, fermented mung bean drink, and crispy fried dough rings. For adventurous travelers, trying the local fermented drink is a fun and memorable part of the experience.

Day 5 Universal Beijing Resort → Full-Day Theme Park Adventure

After breakfast, head to Universal Beijing Resort for a full day of entertainment and immersive experiences.

Unlike a typical self-guided visit, today includes assistance from a local host familiar with the park. The route can be adjusted according to crowd levels, attraction availability, and your personal interests.

Explore the magical Wizarding World of Harry Potter, step into the action-packed Transformers Metrobase, and discover other themed lands and attractions throughout the park.

Instead of spending hours researching complicated park strategies or walking back and forth between attractions, enjoy a more efficient and relaxed experience with local assistance.

After a full day of fun, return to the hotel and rest.

Day 6 Tsinghua University → Peking University → Gubei Water Town → Departure

After breakfast, visit the exterior areas of Tsinghua University and Peking University, two of China's most prestigious universities. Take some photos and enjoy the atmosphere around these historic academic institutions.

Then travel to Gubei Water Town, located at the foot of the Great Wall in northeastern Beijing.

Designed around traditional northern Chinese architecture, canals, stone-paved streets, bridges, and historic-style buildings, Gubei Water Town offers a peaceful contrast to the busy city center. Take a leisurely walk through the town and enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and Great Wall landscape when conditions allow.

At the appropriate time, your private vehicle will transfer you to the airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your Beijing adventure.
